The February Travel Price Index, the TPI, rose 7.6 percent compared to February 2007. Gasoline price jumped 32.7 percent from one year ago. Lodging prices were up 3.4 percent compared to February 2007 and 3.0 percent from last month. Airfares increased 7.6 percent against twelve months earlier and 1.2 percent from previous month. The Consumer Price Index, or CPI-U, was up 4.0 percent from February 2007.
